Building a Culture of Wellness

It is no secret that successful wellness programs do more than just educate participants: they build cultures where health-enhancing behaviors become normal and expected. It is also no secret that you cannot simply decree that your participants will adopt these behaviors. Instead, you must find ways to help participants internalize the value of wellness. Education is just the first step: fun and engaging programs, accessible events and activities and an ability to leverage the power of teamwork and social "network" effects must all be a part of your repertoire. When we built Motivation, we wove an understanding of the 'Culture of Wellness' into the very DNA of the system.

Motivation: The Scalable Solution

Motivation was built from the ground up to meet the needs of any size organization but it really shines in large health promotion programs. You can include participants from multiple organizations and locations plus you have three additional - and optional - categories. This gives you incredible flexibility when generating reports, lists and emails. We easily handle organizations with 100,000 plus employees or participants but, just as importantly, we can scale (and price) a solution for less than 1,000 people.

Enrollment Has Never Been Easier

Once you have Motivation in place, you'll need a way to get all of your participants enrolled! Motivation is unmatched in its ability to give you a quick and customizable enrollment process and it is all done right online (even the enrollment configuration). You can include - or not - a consent form, a medical screening form, the full HRA, a program billing option and even a Physician's Consent form.

If you already have a list of your participants in a spreadsheet or other file, Motivation can handle the upload with ease. If you are a large organization and desire integration with PeopleSoft or other HR software, we have an integration backplane already in place waiting for you. We even work seamlessly with "single sign-on" systems like WebSeal.

BSDI's Data Center: Secure and Always Available

Your members will need to trust that your health promotion portal isn't going to leave their data where spying eyes can see it. BSDI's Tier-3 data center features a powerful, secure network with dual fiber-optic connections to the Internet, sophisticated intrusion detection systems, on-site power generation capabilities and enterprise-level switching components. Your data is hosted on a powerful, mirrored server cluster with automatic failover in the event of a hardware problem. The database cluster is safely tucked away behind a hardware firewall that prevents access from anywhere except our web server farm and home office. All sites feature an SSL encryption certificate to ensure that data can't be monitored while your participants are using the site as well as encryption of personally identifiable data in the database.

Motivation is audited annually for security vulnerabilities by a team of security experts from Hewlett-Packard that attempt to compromise a simulated site and discover data. Our work with the HP security team helps ensure that our security policies are second to none.
